Reasons to join the Guild:
Because we're actively creating a community of writers to help support local writers and lovers of the literary arts in the Capital District area.
Because writers need readers, and a community in which to belong.
During the last two years, the Guild has
- Conducted writing workshops on such topics as newspaper writing, memoir, poetry, free-lance writing, and publishing
- Facilitated peer writing groups
- Hosted readings by area writers
- Partnered with the New York State Writers Institute, Theater Voices, and The Arts Center of the Capital Region
- Developed a Guide to Local Authors
- Published Peer Glass, an anthology of local authors
